The Duchess of Cambridge is the current patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club. But despite her position, she refused to secure a seat for her mother Carole and her sister Pippa Middleton. For unknown reasons, Kate Middleton did not give tickets for her family members. As a result, an embarrassing situation happened.
According to Daily Mail, Carole Middleton reportedly asked Mirka Federer, wife of champion Roger Federer, for tickets for her and Pippa Middleton. Mirka easily procured their tickets. The mother and daughter, however, sat apart from each other because Pippa arrived late.
The source further stated that Kate Middleton’s mom always finds ways to flaunt her daughter’s connections.
The Duchess does the other way around. In fact, she could have gotten Royal Box tickets for them but she opted not to.
Carole Middleton embarrasses daughter Kate Middleton
Earlier reports say that Carole Middleton's asking for tickets from a champion’s wife was embarrassing. This was not the first time Carole caused embarrassment to her daughter concerning Federer. It was a known fact that Carole had a crush on the champion tennis star. Her father has an instance where he met and called a tennis star with a different name.
Kate Middleton's family wants public attention
According to the Celebrity Dirty Laundry, Kate Middleton’s family is using her royal connections to get public attention. Carole offered advice on how to celebrate Easter with friends and family members to promote her mail-order party and purposely to get public attention.
However, it was criticized as “banal” and “boring.” Pippa Middleton was accused of trying hard to be noticed by people in high echelon through her party-planning books which people criticized as nauseating. But this did not hinder her mom Carole to do the same.
The same source reported that because of the Duchess of Cambridge’s family’s efforts to get public attention, they are often shunned by the royal family during engagements and special occasions.
They were accused of using the royal family to promote their family business. Even Queen Elizabeth II does not want the Middletons to associate with the residents of Kensington Palace.
Kate Middleton has not blatantly addressed her family’s social climbing ways. She also has not confirmed her feelings about the issues. But one thing is sure; her family will always be her family no matter how much they embarrass her. It cannot be denied that her family will always share the limelight with the mother of Prince George and Prince Charlotte.
