OnePlus rolled out the OnePlus 3T Android smartphone last year and opted to jump over the OnePlus 4 and released its OnePlus 5 smartphone this year. However, smartphone enthusiasts may not see the 5T variant to roll out later this year.
According to GSM Arena, OnePlus is expected to release its OnePlus 6 Android device early next year instead of releasing the 5T model. This could indicate that while the company’s latest handset features Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 chipset, the T5 model might have no room for incremental improvements. The company appears to release an improved smartphone with an edge-to-edge display feature.
Though there are no details about OnePlus 6 smartphone’s specifications and features, some anticipations have started to mount up on the internet. According to India Today, the smartphone will be available in two models: a 6GB of RAM with a 128GB of built-in storage and an 8GB of RAM with a 256GB of internal storage.
Smartphone's camera setup
The mobile device is expected to arrive with a metal and glass body. The handset might run on the Oxygen operating system that's based on Google’s Android Oreo. While OnePlus appears to be aware of their previous smartphones criticism regarding weak camera features, the firm might make amends this time around and release the OnePlus 6 with a rear dual camera system as well as better user experience.
In keeping up with the high-end smartphones trend, the OnePlus 6 should arrive with a full-screen display with no bezels. However, the mobile device is expected to come with a 6-inch QHD+ display with 2,880 x 1,440-pixel resolution and an aspect ratio of 18:9.
Device to feature Snapdragon 845 processor
There is no word yet regarding which chipset will power the OnePlus 6 smartphone for the reason that it will depend on what Qualcomm will release for next year's mobile devices.
The handset could feature the Snapdragon 845 processor, which will be launched in December.
OnePlus is very particular about utilizing the latest chipset for its smartphones. Snapdragon 820 powers the OnePlus 3, the 3T features the Snapdragon 821 and the OnePlus 5 utilizes SD835. Thus, it is safe to say that the company’s forthcoming handset will arrive with the latest processor. Nonetheless, the company went for an iPhone-clone design for its 2017 flagship smartphone, it will be interesting to see what the company’s next handset will look like.
