In an effort to expand its Bluetooth-headset line-up, Samsung launches “U Flex.” Its primary highlight is its bendable design, which folds up to 100 degrees. The headset features control buttons on the sides. This is further accompanied by ports, which allow for seamless connection. The right-side consists of power buttons and a micro-USB port, keeping the important items in the reach for users; while the left side consists of volume rockers with play and pause buttons.

Everything regarding the device

The unique part about Samsung’s U Flex headset is that its earbuds consist of magnets.

The company has included this material, especially so that they enclose themselves in a loop when the users aren't using it. This protects the accessory from external environmental forces such as dust and water.

Samsung plans on delivering a powerful bass with the integration of a two-way speaker unit. Located on the insides are 11mm and 8mm woofers and tweeters that ensure that the users enjoy the music they listen to. Samsung introduced its Scalable Codec technology a couple of years back. Since then, most of the company’s proprietary products come included with it. The technology is designed in a manner to make optimum use of Wi-Fi while delivering audio performance. Users are advised to note that the headset will only be functional with Samsung-branded smartphones that run on Android 7.0 Nougat and higher.

Device powered by Bixby

The firm introduced its digital voice assistant, Bixby with the launch of Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus smartphones in February this year. Users will be able to operate the U Flex headphones through the simple means of voice commands. Other additional features that one can avail are apps such as Samsung Health, Clock, Timer, Level and others.

The company has also integrated a special vibration feature that acts up when there is a notification popped up on the connected device. While the headset might not be waterproof, it's P2i nano technology prevents damage caused by splashes. The battery is pretty impressive as it can provide 10 hours of functionality on a single charge.

This is way higher than what Apple’s AirPods offer. They promise merely five hours of play time. Samsung has launched U Flex Bluetooth Headset only in the European market as of now. The US market is hopeful about receiving the lineup soon. The headset come in three primary color variants: Black, Blue, and Ivory.
