Samsung was making a couple of headlines in the past, for apparently working towards the launch of a mid-range smartphone. Little did everyone know, the firm was preparing J7 Plus for official introduction in Thailand. Expanding its J-series, the device includes a dual Rear Camera setup – which is also its primary selling point. This also makes Galaxy J7 Plus, the second Samsung smartphone to arrive with the dual rear camera setup with Note 8 being the first. The phone is currently not available in the US but the company might launch it by the end of the September.

The specs of the phone

According to a report by GSMArena, the smartphone carries a 5.5-inch full HD Super AMOLED display. There isn’t any significant difference as far as the handset’s design is concerned. Like most other Samsung mid-rangers, Galaxy J7 (2017) also feature an aluminum built. The firm has upgraded the device with MediaTek Helio P20 with 2.4GHz frequency. The system-on-chip will either be powered by a Qualcomm or Exynos, for it hasn’t been specified as yet. Pre-orders for the same have already begun and consumers will be available to get their hands on it after September 17. Samsung has provided a special offer to those who pre-book it: They will receive a complimentary U Flex Bluetooth headset for free alongside the smartphone.

The firm has introduced three primary color variants with Galaxy J7 Plus: Black, Gold, and Pink. As pointed by Gizbot, Samsung hasn’t made any mentions of global availability yet.

Bixby powered device

The handset offers 4GB of RAM along with 32GB of inbuilt storage. Users have the option of expanding the memory up to 256GB via its microSD card option.

According to FirstPost, the Galaxy J7 Plus features a dual rear camera setup with 13-megapixel as its main sensor and a 5-megapixel as its secondary sensor. This is further complimented by f/1.7 aperture and f/1.9 aperture respectively. Owners can choose from a variety of effects to enhance the quality of the pictures captured, such as Bokeh effect.

There’s an LED flash on the back, which ensures bright pictures even in low-light locations. The smartphone equips a 16-megapixel front shooter with f/1.9 aperture. Galaxy J7 Plus is home to a decent 3,000mAh battery that runs on Android Nougat OS. The fingerprint scanner is located on the front panel, under the physical home button. Samsung has also included Bixby’s Home app with the smartphone, which of worthy mention.
