LG took to the IFA 2017 stage in Berlin last week to unveil the highly anticipated LG V30 smartphone. The handset will first go on sale in South Korea on September 21, after which it will be made available in the US, UK, and the Middle-East. While all the specs and features of the handset were revealed during the launch event, the price of the LG V30 remained unannounced. Now, it seems that the smartphone maker has accidentally announced the price of the handset.

Possible US price

According to Phone Arena, LG Mobile USA recently ran a contest in the country to celebrate the smartphone’s launch.

As part of the contest, the tech giant will give away three V30 handsets via a Twitter Sweepstakes. Although the contest has ended now, the interesting thing to note is that the terms and conditions of the contest listed LG V30 with an approximate retail price of $749.99. It is expected that the price of the handset will circle around the $800 mark.

The LG V30 is in direct competition to Samsung’s recently launched Galaxy Note 8 phablet, which has been priced at a whopping $930 in the US.

As far as the smartphone’s European pricing is concerned, Romanian electronics retailer Quickmobile has already started taking pre-orders for the handset. The retailer has listed the LG V30 with a price tag of RON 3,990.90, which translates to approximately $1,036.

While the handset’s exact shipping date still remains a mystery, the listing does confirm that the device will start shipping sometime in September.

To recall, the LG V30 specs list includes a premium metal and glass encasing, a 6-inch OLED display with 2880 x 1400 pixel resolution, 82 per cent screen-to-body ratio, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, a 3300mAh battery and 4GB of RAM in 64GB.
