Not all features are available

There are lots of new and exciting features available on the new iOS 11 version.

However, there are also iOS 11 features which are exclusive only to iPhone X. These features are not even available on iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus.

There are new features which are solely dependent on the iPhone X's 3D face-scanning TrueDepth camera. One is Animoji, which is a voice-recording animated emoji which is accessible on Messages. Another feature is the Face ID security feature which replaces Touch ID as a biometric sensor.

There are also features available on iPhone X, iPhone 8, and iPhone 8 Plus, but not with other Apple devices. In particular is the Portrait Lighting which uses the dual-lens, depth-sensing camera and to simulate a range of lighting effects, such as Contour Light, Natural Light, Stage Light, Stage Light Mono, and Studio Light.

Before downloading and installing the latest mobile operating system, make sure to backup your device.
