Sony’s upcoming Xperia XZ1 and Xperia XZ1 Compact Android smartphones have been the subject of numerous leaks lately. Now, the popular tech leaker, Roland Quandt, shared several photos on his Twitter account showcasing the Compact variant in pink color.

As reported by Slash Gear, the smartphone will be available in different color options - Silver, Blue, and Black. However, the latest leak of the mobile device indicated that it will have a pink version.

In terms of its design, the Japanese tech giant will not join the bezel-less smartphone trend.

The Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact Android smartphone will be up for grabs with thick bezels. The bezels of the device will come as an advantage to the tech company, allowing the mobile device to offer better audio quality.

Device to have a 3.5mm headphone jack

The mobile device will arrive with a noise-canceling microphone, a dedicated camera button as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack. The handset will also come along with a 4.6-inch LCD display with 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution.

Prices of the smartphones

Quandt also claimed on his tweets that the Xperia XZ1 smartphone would have a $766 price tag, while the Compact variant will cost $638, 1 Red Drop reported. The Compact model will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 system on chip (SoC) with Adreno 540 GPU, backed up by a 4GB of RAM and a 64GB of internal storage.

Based on the renders of the Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact, the handset will sport a rear 19MP camera with LED flash and a phase detection autofocus. The front camera of the device features a 13MP. Aside from that, the device will be equipped with a Quick Charge 3.0, a non-removable Li-Ion 2800mAh battery and a fingerprint sensor.

Quandt also claimed that the Sony Xperia XZ1 model will have the same design language just like the Compact variant.

The XZ1 model will also have the same color options.

It also noteworthy that Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact’s chassis will be made of metal, which would add a premium touch to the mobile device and will pave way for the near-field communication chip. The new Xperia smartphones will be equipped with a Wi-Fi 802.11, USB 2.0, A-GPS, side-mounted fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, barometer, compass, proximity, and gyro.

The handsets will feature IP68 certification for dust and water resistance. The mobile devices might run on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box.

Sony is expected to unveil its latest Android smartphones at the IFA 2017 event in Berlin.
