One of the most looked-forward-to smartphones in the technology industry this year, is probably Samsung’s Galaxy Note 8. Among the main reasons why the market is especially looking forward to this high-end device, is because the upcoming flagship phablet serves as the successor to last year’s Galaxy Note 7 fiasco – which technically faced a lot of bashing, thanks to its battery woes. The South-Korean technology giant hopes to revive its lost glory through the imminent launch of its Galaxy Note 8 smartphone through the numerous high-end specifications that it is expected to come packed with.

While users must note that the company themselves haven’t suggested or confirmed any of the ongoing rumors as yet – many leading sources have predicted primary features of the upcoming phablet. Let’s do a complete round-up of what can be expected from the upcoming phablet smartphone:

Pricing + Availability

The upcoming Galaxy Note 8 smartphone has been reported to be among the priciest offerings made by Samsung till date. The device is expected to come at a base price of $850 – which in a way is still cheaper than the expected iPhone 8, which may fall in the $1,000 categories. The device – as mentioned previously – will be unveiled at Samsung’s ‘Unpacked’ event, however; the smartphones won’t be available for purchase until mid-September at least.

Specifications and features

The Samsung-branded phablet is heavily-speculated to sport a 6.3-inch QHD+ Infinity Display – just like the one found in the already-available Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus smartphones. However, the only difference in this one is that it is slightly larger in size. Apart from this, the smartphone’s display is also apparently going to support 4K video-content viewing.

The device is also expected to pack up the same aspect ratio as LG’s V30 i.e. 18:5:9. The larger display in the upcoming device is justified as: firstly, because it falls in the phablet category and secondly because the device also comes along with the company’s iconic stylus S digital pen.

The design in the Galaxy Note 8 smartphone won’t be any different than the one existing in the Galaxy S8, S8 Plus.

In other words, the smartphone will pack a curved glass front and back panels with a metal finish. The Galaxy Note 8 smartphone is expected to pack a dual rear camera setup, with two 12-megapixel sensors accompanied with an 8-megapixel front shooter as well. The device’s camera is further packed with telephoto and wide-angle abilities as well.
