Chinese technology giant Oneplus recently took the market by a storm when the company launched its 2017 flagship smartphone – the OnePlus 5. The smartphone packed all the possible features that were expected from the device – a fingerprint scanner, a dual rear camera setup, an amazing quality display and more. OnePlus introduced only two major color variants under its latest smartphone, though. Now, it seems like the company is gearing up to add to its collection. The company recently posted a teaser posted on what could be the next possible color option of the OnePlus 5 smartphone.

The teaser poster was published on the social media platform, Facebook and it was discovered that the upcoming color might be a special gold. The latest announcement falls in line with the previous rumors that were based on a TENAA spotting, which suggested that OnePlus would launch its OnePlus 5 smartphone in a special Mint Gold color Variant.

OnePlus 5 specs and features

As mentioned previously, OnePlus introduced only two color variants of its OnePlus 5 smartphone Slate Gray and Midnight Black at the time of the launch. The devices come equipped with a special 6GB RAM and 8GB RAM storage options as well. The company has only posted a teaser image of the upcoming device, with no other details regarding the same available as yet. Previously, there were many speculations-based reports that suggested that OnePlus might introduce five new colors of its OnePlus 5 smartphone. A leak suggesting the same even popped up online and revealed the five possible color variants, that included Black, Red, Blue, Green, and Purple – all of which sported a Matte finish.

The smartphone appeared in these colors on a China-based website; therefore, the information was absorbed with a grain of salt. The company did not bother to respond to these reports either. It seems like the company has been thinking of adding new color options to its flagship smartphone for quite long as a couple of months back, the firm even posted a question on Twitter addressed to the fans, as to which color variant would they like to see the OnePlus 5 smartphone in.
