HMD Global backed nokia is preparing for the launch of its next smartphone, Nokia 9 anytime soon. There are several reports floating on social media regarding the device, however, the latest one is a detailed one and has been spotted on the Official benchmarking website, GFXBench. Several online publications spotted the latest leak on GFXBench, and have stated that there will be three variants of Nokia 9 smartphone that might be launched this year. Along with this information, the listing of GFXBench also went on to reveal all the key details regarding the upcoming device by Nokia as well.

The device will be the mid-segment smartphone with cutting-edge Specs and will compete with Samsung J7 and OnePlus 5 in the market.

The rumored specs and features

As per the listing provided on GFXBench, the Nokia 9 smartphone is expected to feature a 5.30inch Quad HD display with 2,560 x 1,440 pixels resolution and will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC coupled with Adreno 540 GPU for graphics.

On the storage front, the device has been mentioned to offer 4GB of RAM alongside 64GB of internal storage. It would only make sense for the yet-to-be-launched Nokia 9 smartphone to come equipped with Android 7.1.1 Nougat since Nokia only recently announced that its Nokia 3 device will also be receiving the aforementioned update.

Aside of this, the smartphone is also believed to come bundled up with a heart-rate sensor, a feature that is exclusive to the high-end smartphones by Nokia.

Camera-wise, the device will probably sport a 12-megapixel front and back snapper with support for 4K-recording and other options including Face Detection, HDR capabilities, AutoFocus and Ultra-HD recording available as well.

Price of the device

There has been a lot of debate among the mass, with regards to the storage options set to arrive in the smartphone. While some reports claim that the device might come in a special 8GB RAM option, others state that the firm might just end up offering a 6GB RAM option. The smartphone is expected to cost anywhere around $500 easily. The launch-date of the upcoming device has not been mentioned by Nokia as yet. However, many indicate that the official unveiling of the device might take place towards the end of this month or during the annual IFA event that is scheduled to take place in Berlin this time.
