Lenovo-backed Motorola only recently introduced its Moto Z2 Force smartphone, however; it doesn’t seem like the firm is done with launches for 2017 yet. As an increasing number of leaks keep piling up, the excitement among fans remains intact. The latest speculation can be sourced back to prolific leakster, Evan Blass of VentureBeat, who usually takes to his official Twitter account to reveal key specifications of various smartphones ahead of their launch.
Leaks regarding the smartphone
Evan Blass posted alleged renders of the apparent Moto X4 smartphone.
Through these images, it was revealed that the smartphone is going to come equipped with a dual Rear Camera setup. As it’s a close shot of the smartphone, one can make out the primary imaging system on the device. It can be interpreted through the image, that the smartphone will come equipped with two sensors located on the rear end, also accompanied with a dual-LED flash. The camera module is circular by nature and is located horizontally. The feature is also slightly protruded from the rear panel of the smartphone, thereby falling in line with the previous leaks and speculations.
This isn’t the first time that details regarding the Moto X4 smartphone have been revealed. Previously, the supposed final design of the upcoming Motorola-powered, Android-based device was leaked online, and that photo revealed that the handset could possibly have a glossy metal finish, further complimented by rounded corners.
If this actually turns out to be true, then it seems like the smartphone won’t be any different from the ones already prevailing at the moment. Quite evidently, most of the Motorola-backed smartphones come equipped with a metal finish and rounded edges. This is an utter disappointment; as it just goes on to suggest that Motorola doesn’t take interest in experimenting and delivering something unique to its consumers.
Water resistant device
Apart from this, it had been revealed that the upcoming Moto X4 smartphone will come equipped with a 3D glass, which will safeguard it against external forces. The device will also equip an IP68-certification, which will make it water and dust resistant. The smartphone will also feature a heart rate monitor, however; the nature of this hasn’t been confirmed by the company as yet.
The company was expected to launch its Moto X4 smartphone earlier in summer this year, however; that never took place. The company might introduce the device at the upcoming annual IFA event scheduled to take place in Berlin on August 31st.
