On Monday, July 31, LG announced that the LG Q6 smartphone, which was unveiled a few weeks ago, will be available for consumers to purchase all over the world from this week. The handset comes with FullVision display. The South Korean OEM claims that the smartphone was developed especially to meet the demands and expectations of millennial consumers all over the world.

LG Q6 gets global launch

According to a Press Statement from the company, the Q6 will be released first in home country South Korea. Following the launch in South Korea, the handset will be released to the international markets such as Asia, Europe, Middle East, and the Americas, in the mentioned order.

The Q6 is the first handset in LG’s Q smartphone line-up. The smartphone comes with LG’s proprietary FullVision display, which provides the users a screen large enough to be comfortably rested on one hand and give an excellent viewing experience.

LG Q6 comes with FullVision display and military standard certification

LG in its press statement claims that the standout feature of the LG Q6 is the 5.5-inch FHD+ Full Vision display that the smartphone boasts of. The company states that the FullVision Display not only provides the user with excellent viewing opportunities, it also allows the user to multitask quite easily. The user can divide the display screen into two perfect square windows, oriented either horizontally or vertically.

Apart from that the Square Camera Mode allows the merging of two separate images into one and permits the user to create square grid collages, which are quite popular on social media.

The company points out that apart from the Full Vision Display, the durability of the LG Q6 is another major feature of the smartphone. It claims that the device’s chassis has been constructed out of 7000 series aluminum.

The material is a hardy and strong alloy which is commonly used in the marine and aerospace industries. The LG Q6 sports rounded corners in order to dispel the impact energy if dropped. Apart from a strong chassis, the handset comes with an MIL-STD 810G certification, which is bestowed by the United States military on products that can withstand a wide range of temperatures, humidity, rain, dust, and sand.

The LG Q6 is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 SoC along with an Adreno 505 GPU. The LG Q6 packs in 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of built in storage. In terms of camera, the LG smartphone comes with one 13-megapixels primary sensor and one 5-megapixels secondary selfie snapper. The lights are kept on by 3,000 mAh non-replaceable battery and the smartphone is shipped with Android 7.0 Nougat pre-loaded in it.
