Apple is expected to take the wraps off its highly-anticipated iPhone 8 sometime in September this year. In order to celebrate their 10-year anniversary with the iPhone 8 device, the Cupertino-based technology giant is expected to pack the upcoming smartphone with the best possible features. Since it’s Apple – the top brand as far as smartphones are concerned – the company is going to ensure that the features that its device comes packed with, come equipped with the specifications that have never seen before. Let’s take a look at the top features that have never seen before in any of the iPhone 8 devices.
Bezel-less design
According to a report published by TechRadar, the upcoming iPhone 8 is going feature a 5.8-inch bezel-less display. In other words, the physical home button will be completely eliminated from the smartphone. Moreover, the company is even expected to switch from LCD to a richer, more qualitative AMOLED display. Well-known analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities recently made a prediction, suggesting that the smartphone is also going to sport a 2.5D curved display. Since there won’t be a physical home button, it is highly possible that the smartphone comes along with an under-the-display Touch ID feature. This will also reportedly serve as a fingerprint scanner for smartphone users.
Facial recognition feature
There have been many reports in the recent past that suggest that the upcoming iPhone 8 is going to come with an integrated 3D face-scanning feature. The Cupertino technology giant is expected to integrate the feature in both, the rear and front cameras of the smartphone. This will come with high-processing speeds, taking merely milliseconds for the smartphone user to access the device.
Apple is also expected to integrate a dual rear camera setup, that will be placed horizontally on the back side of the smartphone.
Glass body + Wireless charging
Since the time rumors regarding the Apple Iphone 8 started surfacing online, there has been one indication that has been stable regarding the upcoming smartphone and that is, the device is going to sport a glass body.
In other words, it appears like Apple has decided to do away with the aluminum packing of the smartphone, and settle for a more, sophisticated glass body. Apart from this, the smartphone will probably support wireless charging.
Given the number of new modern-day technologies that the upcoming iPhone 8 is expected to come with, the device will obviously be carrying a hefty price-tag i.e. $1,000.
