Exactly a week after the release of the bug-filled iOS 11 Beta 5, Apple released the sixth Developer Beta Preview of the iOS 11. The upcoming mobile operating system brings in new features such as the customizable Control Center, along with the biggest upgrade on the iPad, which includes a redesigned multitasking interface.
According to reports, many Apple device users look forward to the official release of the iOS 11 version, purportedly scheduled in early September. What are the new and improved features of the iOS 11 Developer Beta 6 Preview version?
Let’s find out.
Bug fixes plus new and exciting features
Apple’s iOS 11 is said to be the biggest upgrade ever to come to its mobile devices. Evidence for this claim is supported by yet another batch of new features that don't just solving previously reported bugs from the previous beta preview versions.
Speaking of bug fixes, many tech analysts believe this was the reason why Apple abruptly released its Beta 6 Preview version after only a week following the release of Beta 5. For instance, there were reports about Mail Notifications failure, system delay when closing apps using the Home button on iPhone 7/7Plus, and intermittent problems on the 3D Touch cursor.
All these issues were fixed on the iOS 11 Developer Beta 6 Preview version.
Furthermore, the unlock animation, which was removed previously, was also placed back with additional process modification, making it move faster. New icons were also introduced for apps like the Apple Maps, App Store, Clock, and Weather. In addition, a new App Store icon in Messages app's input bar was added.
The Apple iOS technical team also decided to remove at least six live fish wallpapers.
Meanwhile, the Auto Brightness feature was transferred to Settings > General > Accessibility > Display Accommodations. A copy of the complete release notes can be found on MacRumors forum.
