Chinese tech companies are expected to launch a lot of gadgets this year. #Xiaomi is among the top Chinese tech giants to hit the tech market with their hardware. The tech giant is expected to unveil its #Redmi Pro 2 Android #smartphone later this month.

It is interesting to note how the device’s particular key details briefly appear on Xiaomi’s official website. However, the upcoming smartphone is considered as one of the highly anticipated mobile devices.

Gadgets 360 reported that a source from China might have leaked the device’s set of complete specs.

The mobile device will be available with a 3GB RAM variant, which matches the information that surfaced a couple of weeks ago. But, since the original Redmi Pro was launched with a 4GB RAM and a 128GB internal storage option, chances are the future smartphone will follow the footsteps of its predecessor.

Specs of the device

The Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 is expected to be available with a 5.5-inch display with 2160 x 1080 pixel resolution. The smartphone will be equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 processor and a dual-camera setup of Sony's IMX362 or the IMX386 sensors. The fingerprint sensor of the smartphone will be located on the device’s rear part.

Tech experts are anticipating the handset to retain the 3.5 mm headset jack.

Other specs of the device include the gyroscope, magnetometer, accelerometer, WiFi, and Bluetooth.

The smartphone is anticipated to arrive in two variants with four different memory configurations. One will come with a standard panel, while the other will arrive with a nearly bezel-less display.

Smartphone’s price

Pricewise, the 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage of the upcoming smartphone will cost CNY 1,999 or $294, while the 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage variant will cost CNY 2,499 or $368.

Korea Portal reported that other features of the mobile device would remain the same just like its predecessor. Nonetheless, it is important to note that the company has yet to confirm these specs.

Meanwhile, Christian Post reported that Xiaomi company would ditch the Redmi Pro 2 smartphone for a device called the Xiaomi X1.

But, GSM Arena made it known that the Xiaomi X1 and the Pro 2 are two different mobile devices. The media outlet also claimed that the smartphone will still see the daylight. Nonetheless, The tech company is expected to roll out the smartphone by the end of July along with the MIUI 9 and MI 6 Plus.
