Samsung has long been rumored to be working on a new iteration to its previously-introduced Galaxy S5 and S6 Active smartphones. Now, it appears like the South-Korean technology giant is finally ready to ensure that arrival of the same. Now, it seems like Samsung’s retail employee has posted the training manual of the upcoming smartphone online. This has confirmed several prevailing rumors regarding the upcoming smartphone as well. If rumors are believed to be true, then it seems like the upcoming smartphone is going to come packed with the top-notch specifications and a decent price-range as well.

Water and dust resistant smartphone

According to a report published by Android Police, the upcoming Galaxy S8 Active smartphone – as per the information provided in the training manual – is expected to arrive with a special IP68 certification. In other words, the smartphone will come along with water and dust resistant capabilities. Moreover, the smartphone is further mentioned to come along with something known as the MIL-STD-810G endurance rating as well. In other words, the device will come with the ability to endure even the harshest weather conditions. Apart from this, the smartphone will remain safeguarded even if there is a fall.

Specs and features

Additionally, the smartphone also comes along with shock-endurance abilities.

It also appears like the upcoming Galaxy S8 Active smartphone will share a lot of similarities with the prevailing Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus smartphones as well, at least in terms of the software specifications. For instance, the smartphone might be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 system-on-chip. Apart from this, the device is also widely believed to come with a special ability that extends support for Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Samsung is also rumored to integrate the Bixby digital voice assistant in the smartphone.

As far as other specifications of the upcoming Galaxy S8 Active smartphone is concerned, the device is expected to feature a 5.8-inch Super AMOLED display along with an added protection by Corning’s Gorilla Glass 5. The smartphone is further expected to house a 4,000mAh battery and will most possibly be running on the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system.

Samsung last week announced on its official website that they were planning on launching the Galaxy Note 8 phablet on 23rd August. Therefore, it has been assumed that the South-Korean technology giant will also be unveiling its Galaxy S8 Active smartphone alongside the Galaxy Note 8 device.
