nokia has been busy lately. The Finnish technology-giant began the year by introducing its revived-version of 3310 feature phone. Following which, the smartphone-manufacturer decided to launch several mid-range smartphones including Nokia 3, 5 and 6. Apart from this, the company is also speculated to be working on Nokia 8 and 9 smartphones – two high-end devices that are supposed to deliver tough competition to other flagship smartphones like OnePlus 5, Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus and others. The company is also particularly focusing on another device called Nokia 2.

Renders regarding the same have been popping up online lately, giving away a lot of key details regarding the smartphone. An unnamed artist seems to even have taken these renders as his reference point to draw out a concept Nokia 2 smartphone.

Leaks floating on the internet

According to a report published by GSMArena, alleged renders of the Nokia 2 smartphone that seems to reveal the key details about the device, first surfaced on Weibo (China’s version of Facebook). The renders pretty much gave away the primary design and several key specifications of the smartphone. On the basis of the leaks, not only did the fans get a vague idea of what can be expected from Nokia’s upcoming 2 smartphones but it also gave an unnamed artist an opportunity to create a Concept Art on the basis of these leaks.

What is showcased through the art, it is safe to assume that the design of the upcoming low-end Nokia 2 smartphone is going to be similar to the Nokia smartphones already prevailing in the market at the moment. Unfortunately, the upcoming Nokia 2 smartphone might not pack a fingerprint scanner on the rear end of the device.

The smartphone is carrying a simple rear camera with sensors as well as a front snapper. There is nothing exciting that one can look forward to, in the upcoming Nokia 2 smartphone.

A cutting-edge device

Thanks to the recent Geekbench result¸ the internal specifications of the upcoming Nokia 2 smartphone are known. The device is expected to pack either a 4.5-inch or a 5-inch display with 1,280 x 720 pixels resolution.

Apart from this, the smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 212 chipset along with ARM Cortex A7 32-bit processors and Adreno 304 for graphics. On the storage front, the smartphone is expected to offer 1GB of RAM along with 32GB of internal storage. The device will come running on Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system. Since the smartphone falls in the low-end category, there isn’t much that one can expect from the same.
