ASUS showcased its unique feature-based ZenFone AR smartphone at the MWC event earlier this year. At that time, the firm hadn’t made any mention of when the smartphone would be available for sale. Just a few weeks back, the Chinese technology giant started rolling the device out for sale to several of the global markets.

The global roll-out did not include the UK at that time. Now, a new report now claims that the Asus Zenfone AR has now officially been launched for sale in the UK. Interested buyers can pre-order the upcoming smartphone from the company’s official website.

The device is priced at 799 pounds, which roughly translates to around $1049.

Price of the device

Many feel that the price of ASUS ZenFone AR smartphone is pretty expensive in comparison to what one had expected. However, the good part is that the company is also offering several freebies along with the upcoming smartphone. ASUS has bundled the smartphone up with a Google Play voucher worth $39. Apart from that, the smartphone also comes equipped with Google’s exclusive standalone Vr Headset, Daydream View VR headset. The VR headset is priced at somewhere around $130. Apart from this, ASUS’ ZenFone AR is the first device to come packed with Google’s Daydream and Tango-support.

The device is touted for professionals, especially those who have work relating to design and architecture.

ASUS has made an official announcement, stating that the upcoming smartphone will be delivered by 14th or 18Th August maximum. The firm has further stated that the upcoming smartphone will be limited in terms of stock. Therefore, the users are advised to make the most optimum use of the upcoming smartphone.

As for the specifications, the ASUS ZenFone AR comes packed with a 5.7-inch QHD Super AMOLED display and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821 processor. On the storage front, the device offers 6GB of RAM along with 128GB of internal storage as well. Users even have the option of expanding the memory up to 256GB if they’d like.

The smartphone packs three rear camera sensors to capture the most of the subject. The smartphone further goes on to house a 3,300mAh battery and runs on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat operating system. The smartphone has also been rolled out in other leading, developing markets such as India. Whether it ends up doing well in front of other smartphone brands, is a question that only time will be able to answer.
