A couple of iterations of what looks like an Asus device with model number X00LD and X00LDA have made an appearance on Geekbench.

Asus X00LD model and Asus X00LDA model

This revelation primarily centers on two smartphones allegedly related with Asus' looming Zenfone 4-series bearing the model above numbers. At first glance, the smartphone duo seems to be iterations of the brand-new Zenfone 4 Max, packing different RAM arrangement.

The Taiwanese tech giant is hard at works on five Zenfone 4 series smartphones that are anticipated to launch ahead of the Zenfone 4 Max's arrival.

A report from BGR claims the latest leaks gives this speculation its seal of approval.

If the Geekbench listing is anything to go by, the two models will run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box and will be powered by an identical processor. First off, let's take a gander at the X00LD model.

Asus X00LD model will pack Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 430 octa-core SoC, clocked at 1.4GHz and coupled with 4GB of RAM, under the hood. On the single core test as well as the multi-core test, the model racks up the score of 664 and 2,500 respectively.

Meanwhile, the X00LDA model is said to pack the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC with 2GB of RAM. In a single-core test, this model reaps the score of 680, and in multi-core test, it scores 1,903, according to the report.

Specifications and other details

The mobile phone duo reportedly belongs to Zenfone 4 Max smartphone family. Previously surfaced reports suggest one of the models could offer 16GB of internal storage, while the other could provide a massive 64GB of internal storage. Taking the latest leaks into considerations, it looks like the Asus X00LD model will offer more storage than the Asus X00LDA model, which also packs lower RAM.

While details about these two models are hard to come by, some tech pundit hint at an impending arrival of a third variant that will fill the spot between the purported X00LD and X00LDA smartphones.

This unnamed third model will pack 3GB of RAM. It's worth noting that Asus has already confirmed that all models will come with a microSD card slot to let users expand internal storage up to 256GB, as reported by Android Headlines.

The Zenfone 4 Max, on the other hand, sports a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1080x1920p. It is up for grabs in a couple of variants, one with .4 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC and the other powered by Snapdragon 425 quad-core SoC.

Aside from that, the handset packs up to 4GB of RAM and offers 16GB/32GB/64GB of expandable (up to 256GB via microSD card) internal storage options. In terms of photography, the device comes with a set of 13MP primary camera equipped with wide angle and f/2.0 aperture. There is an 8MP camera adorned with 140-degree panorama selfie mode for the selfie lovers and f/2.2 aperture.

The smartphone is backed by a robust 5,000mAh battery, which allegedly offers up to an impressive three hours of talk time on just 15 minutes of charge.

As if that weren't enough, Asus claims that user can watch approximately 22 hours of video on the device thanks to this massive battery. The Dual-SIM smartphone will run on Android 7.0 with Zen UI on top.
