Rumors and speculations for Apple’s iPhone 8 are not dead, yet. Reports recently emerged claiming that the upcoming 10th-anniversary device of the Cupertino-based tech giant will be clad in “mirror-likecolor option other than the usual colors that came with the previous models.

iPhone 8 color options

When the iPhone 7 launched, it introduced Red and Jet Black color options. So, it could be expected that the upcoming new model could introduce yet again another color option for those willing to go the extra mile or extra cash.

In a recent post by Benjamin Geskin (@VenyaGeskin1), a notable leaker, he shared an image of what the upcoming anniversary device could look like if it were to come in mirror-like color option.

However, in the shared photo, he instead used a mirror case to deliver his point. If this were true, then the Apple Iphone 8 could pay homage to the old generation iPod models with mirror-like back covers.

But did Geskin confuse the mirror-like color option with the already available Jet Black color option? Since the upcoming anniversary device is rumored to be a bit expensive than previous models, then a Jet Black color with its glossy and piano-like finish could be what Geskin actually meant.

Other color options

Black. Being a staple for most previous generation models, many expect that this color option will be available.

And even if it’s mostly plain-looking, it’s the more popular one.

Rose Gold. There is a possibility that Apple will drop other hues in favor of a new color option. But since this sells well to a majority of buyers, there is no reason that this color will not come alongside the Apple iPhone 8.

Silver. First introduced in the iPhone 5, perhaps this will also be available for the upcoming model.

“Boutique” branding

A few days prior to Geskin’s claims, reliable analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicted that the OLED model will only be available in “fewer” colors compared with the iPhone 7 and 7s. This is in order to maintain a “boutique” branding. The keyword here is “fewer,” so we cannot rule out any possibilities as of this writing.

Release date, pricing, & availability

Apple has kept a tight lid, sort of, as to when the Cupertino-based giant will finally unveil their 10th anniversary device. But the tech giant has a record of unveiling smartphones around the beginning of September. And then it will only be a few weeks following the reveal until the devices are made available to the public, which could be around October or a little later.

Pricing for the Apple iPhone 8 has been rumored to be a little more than $1000 thanks to its new features. If this were true, then this will be the most expensive smartphone to date.

Rumors about the Apple iPhone 8 are endless. But it won’t be long until many will feast their eyes on one of the most highly anticipated devices on the planet. Until then, we will keep you updated with the latest development and rumors on the upcoming 10th-anniversary device.
