Monday was the deadline for teams to not tender contacts to players who are not yet eligible for free agency but have seen their contract expire.
A large list of names was non-tendered and this now allows those players to enter free agency. Here are 15 notable players who were not tendered contracts by their former ball clubs. The entire list of players non-tendered can be found at MLB Trade Rumors.
Tim Beckham (Mariners)
The first overall pick in 2008, Beckham has never quite lived up to that billing. In 88 games last season, he finished with a .237 batting average and 15 home runs.

C.J. Cron (Twins)
Cron has been a better-than-adequate offensive first baseman over the past couple seasons. He hit 25 homers last season and had another 30 in 2018 while with the Rays.
