He shot an amazing 62.1 percent from the field over the month. In five of the nine outings, he scored at least 30 with his best output coming on February 6 against the Wizards when he put up 43 points. He had been named the East's top player for the month one time entering this season.

Western Conference Player of the Month

This is the fourth time of his career that George has received the conference's top player honors (first three times in the East with the Pacers). The six-time All-Star played in 10 contests during the month of February and averaged 35.0 points, 8.4 rebounds, 5.4 assists, and 2.1 steals. He made 5.4 threes a game and was nearly flawless from the charity stripe connecting on 90.1 percent of his tries.

He ended the month with two consecutive games scoring 36 points (career-highs until he scored 49 points in a four-overtime game on March 1). It is the third time this season that Young has been named Eastern Conference Rookie of the Month.

Western Conference Rookie of the Month

All four months these honors have been given out, Doncic has been named Western Conference Rookie of the Month.

The heavy favorite to win Rookie of the Year, he participated in eight games in February. In those contests, he proceeded to average 24.4 points, 9.4 rebounds, and 7.4 assists. He tallied at least 26 points in half of those games and made more than three three-pointers per game for the month.
