The two highest scoring fantasy quarterbacks were playing in the same game last Sunday. Ryan Fitzpatrick and Drew Brees combined for a total of 72 points during the Browns and Saints game in which a total of 58 points were scored. It's unlikely we see a game like that in week 2, but Brees does get to play at home against a Browns defense that struggled against the pass in 2017. Let's take a look at the 10 best fantasy quarterbacks for week 2 of the fantasy Football season.

1. New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees

The Saints quarterback draws a favorable matchup against a Browns defense that doesn't cover the pass particularly well.

Brees generally plays much better at home, and this matchup against the Browns should be one that Brees is able to take advantage of.

2. LA Chargers QB Philip Rivers

Rivers threw for 424 passing yards and three touchdowns against the Chiefs in week 1. This week, he gets to play against a Bills defense that allowed Joe Flacco to throw for three touchdown passes. Rivers is an elite player in week 2.

3. Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger

Yes, Roethlisberger was awful against the Browns. He had three interceptions and two fumbles en route to a terrible 8 point fantasy day. However, this week he gets to return home and play in a game against the Chiefs porous pass defense. This should be a bounce-back game for the Steelers quarterback.

4. Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes

Mahomes had an excellent debut as the Chiefs' starting quarterback, passing for 256 yards and 4 touchdowns. This, he'll get to play in a game against the Pittsburgh Steelers with the highest projected over/under points total of week 2.

5. New England Patriots QB Tom Brady

Most weeks, Brady would rank in the top three quarterbacks.

On the road against the Jaguars, Brady has less value. He did manage to pass for three touchdowns against a tough Texans defense, but this time he'll be on the road against a really tough Jaguars secondary.

6. Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers

Rodgers ranks this low thanks to both his injury and the matchup with the Minnesota Vikings, who allowed just ten points in two matchups to the Packers in 2017.

Rodgers is still an elite quarterback, but he doesn't belong in the top five fantasy quarterbacks this week.

7. Cleveland Browns QB Tyrod Taylor

The Saints allowed 41 fantasy points to Ryan Fitzpatrick. And the Saints were at home! Now Tyrod Taylor, who managed to score 22 points in the rain in week 1, gets to play this defense. He's a worth a start in week 2.

8. Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson

Even without Baldwin, Wilson still managed to pass for 3 touchdowns and almost 300 yards. This week he draws a very tough matchup against a great Bears defense, but his playmaking ability makes Wilson a top 10 play every week, even against elite defenses.

9. Houston Texans QB DeShaun Watson

Watson was disappointing in his debut, throwing for just 176 yards and 1 touchdown.

He scored just 11 fantasy points against a Patriots defense that was ready to contain him. This week, Watson should be able to post a much better performance against a Titans team they scored 57 points on in 2017.

10. Carolina Panthers QB Cam Newton

The Atlanta Falcons know how to play against Newton, but that doesn't mean the Panthers quarterback can be completely stopped. Newton didn't throw for a single touchdown against the Cowboys in week 1 but still ended his day with 17 fantasy points. He should have another effective game in week 2.
