The excitement for basketball fans is beginning to mount as "NBA 2K19" will be released soon on September 11 (September 7 for those that purchase the 20th Anniversary Edition). US Gamer has been updating fans on any news that has come out regarding the basketball game.
There have been plenty of players who have received their ratings for this year's iteration of the game.
Those include LeBron James and Kawhi Leonard, Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins, Giannis Antetokounmpo and DeAndre Ayton, Kyle Kuzma and Trae Young, and Russell Westbrook and Blake Griffin.
Here are the most recent NBA players who have been given their overall rating for "NBA 2K19." Also included is what that player was rated when "NBA 2K18" first came out.
Will Barton, Denver Nuggets - 79
- Last year’s 2K rating: 77
Barton is expected to move into a starting role after spending much of his previous three seasons coming off the bench for the Nuggets. Denver Stiffs of SB Nation speaks more of Barton as well as many other Nuggets players in their player preview series. He finished fourth in 2017-18 in Sixth Man of the Year voting.
Bobby Portis, Chicago Bulls - 79
- Last year’s 2K rating: 76
Portis became more of a three-point shooter last season connecting on 80 after making just 48 in his first two seasons.
Just 23 years old, he also showed an improved ability to score averaging 21.1 points per 36 minutes.
Taurean Prince, Atlanta Hawks - 79
- Last year’s 2K rating: 75
Entering his third season, Prince started all 82 games for the Hawks in 2017-18. His shooting numbers improved across the board from his rookie year including his connecting on 38.5 percent of his three-point tries.
Justin Anderson, Atlanta Hawks - 72
- Last year’s 2K rating: 73
The 24-year-old Anderson is entering his fourth season and his first with Atlanta. In 38 games with the 76ers last season, he posted averages of 6.2 points and 2.4 rebounds.
Danuel House, Golden State Warriors - 69
- Last year’s 2K rating: 65
House signed a minimum contract this offseason to join the two-time defending Warriors after playing 23 games with the Suns in 2017-18.
He averaged 6.6 points and 3.3 rebounds in 17.5 minutes per game.
Anfernee Simons, Portland Trail Blazers - 69
- Last year’s 2K rating: N/A
Simons was selected with the 24th pick by Portland in the 2018 NBA Draft. He skipped college and instead played for IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida as a post-graduate last season.
