The NBA announced both their Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week for games played on March 5-11.

In the Eastern Conference, guard Demar Derozan of the Toronto Raptors was named Player of the Week for the second straight week. Guard Damian Lillard of the Portland Trail Blazers received the honors in the Western Conference.

Last week's winners for February 26-March 4 were the aforementioned DeRozan and Anthony Davis in the West.

Eastern Conference Player of the Week - DeMar DeRozan

The top seed in the Eastern Conference, Toronto has currently won eight straight games including four last week.

In those four outings, DeRozan posted per game averages of 24.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 0.3 steals. He shot 34-75 (45.3 percent) from the field, 6-18 (33.3 percent) from three-point territory, and 25-30 (83.3 percent) from the free throw line.

The high point of the week for the 28-year-old came in a close two-point win over the Detroit Pistons in overtime last Wednesday. He went 16-28 from the field and a perfect 8-8 from the charity stripe on his way to finishing with 42 points, all of which were needed in the tight victory.

Now in his ninth season with the Raptors, DeRozan has been named Eastern Conference Player of the Week 10 times. Not only was he named it the previous week as well, but he was also named it three other times this season, giving him five total in 2017-18.

He was also named the Eastern Conference Player of the Month for January.

Western Conference Player of the Week - Damian Lillard
