LeBron James continued his great regular season in year number 15 with another great performance in the win over the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday afternoon. He played 38 minutes and scored 37 points on 14 of 19 shooting from the field while adding 10 rebounds, 8 assists and a steal. He kept his great recent play going as he has been averaging a triple double in his last 20-plus games, while also having numbers in the points, rebounds, assists and field goal percentage department in the last few games that have been matched by nobody ever in NBA history.

King James is pretty much playing at a level unseen before and might be on his way to his 5th MVP award. Whether or not the voters will choose to overlook team success or not might decipher whether the man in Houston wins the award or not, but with the King playing like this, he is making a huge case for his winning his fifth trophy.

But although he once again showed off his brilliance in the Cavs most recent game, he apparently did so, with very little rest.

LeBron got no sleep

LeBron James is a man of science and makes sure to keep his body in prime condition to prevent injuries and preserve his career. He does so with the use of an effective diet, gym etiquette and also getting the correct amount of sleep.

But he intrigued Cleveland reporter Allie Clifton when he told her after the Cavaliers 121-114 victory over the Brooklyn Nets, that he was playing a little more tired and under the weather.

LeBron explained, “I don’t know how I came away with the energy because I only got like 3 hours of sleep last night, been a little under the weather and just couldn’t sleep last night.

And with the early game, it just kinda messed up my routine this morning but if I’m going to be active, I have to be active… To keep this streak going.”

LeBron was obviously talking about the games played streak, playing in 73 of 73 games this season for the Cleveland Cavaliers. And he is planning to play in all 82 for the first time in his legendary career, something that he has been wanting to do for a while.

No sleep, no difference

Was his young daughter Zhuri keeping him up all night or was the whole squad online on Fortnight? We are not too sure why the King didn’t get too much sleep, but you would never notice. Playing in the earliest start time for a game this season for Cleveland, the Cavs and Nets tipped off at 1pm at the Barclays Center and it was an exciting one. It came down to the final minutes when the King hit a clutch three pointer to seal the game. The Cavaliers will be looking to keep their winning streak going in their next game against Miami on Tuesday.
