Super Bowl odds mania is sweeping across America! With the NFL conference championships just six days away, fans across the globe are already planning where and when they will get together to watch the big game on February 4. Las Vegas oddsmakers are also hard at work preparing for millions of dollars to exchange hands this week as the final four teams battle it out to determine which two teams will participate in Super Bowl 52.
Patriots heavy favorites
To no one's surprise, the New England Patriots are the favorite to win the 2018 Super Bowl. New England has been the Vegas favorite since last August, and, with a chance to repeat as champs, the Patriots are getting healthy at the right time.
Can anyone stop the ageless Tom Brady? Vegas oddsmakers don’t believe so and neither should you -- that is if you are planning on wagering this weekend.
When Brady and the Patriots face the Jaguars this weekend, they will be facing one of the best defenses in the entire NFL. However, the Jags do have a bit of a flaw. They aren’t a good team at coming back when they fall behind by 10 points or more. For Jacksonville to pull off another huge upset in the postseason they will need to score early and often against New England.
Vikings look to make history
The Minnesota Vikings and quarterback Case Keenum are living in a dream world. After pulling off their 29-24 miracle win Sunday afternoon on a desperation touchdown pass with 10 seconds left in the game, the Vikings have lived to see another day.
If they beat the Eagles this weekend, they will make NFL history.
Never before has a team played in a Super Bowl when their hometown has hosted the event. If the Vikings make it to Super Bowl 52, you can bet that home field advantage will be huge for the Purple Gang. While the Patriots and Vikings are favored to win this weekend and meet up on Super Sunday, don’t discard the Philadelphia Eagles or Jacksonville Jaguars.
Remember, the Philadelphia Eagles were the team to beat in the NFC just over a month ago. Sure, the injury to Carson Wentz was huge, but the defense is still tough, they are at home, and Nick Foles has a ton of experience. They will relish the underdog role at home this weekend.
