Four teams scored at least 38 points in Week 10 (excluding ‘Monday Night Football’) and another three put up at least 30. High-scoring affairs usually provide some high-scoring fantasy football performances from players, sometimes from unexpected individuals.

Here are the best performances from players who were mostly unowned (owned in less than 25 percent of ESPN leagues) in Fantasy Football leagues in Week 10. Each week, one quarterback, two running backs, two wide receivers, and one tight end will be highlighted.

Quarterback

C. J. Beathard, 49ers

Week 10 stats: 288 passing yards, 2 passing touchdowns, 1 interception, 15 rushing yards, 1 rushing touchdown

Making just his fourth career start, Beathard easily put together his best game against a hapless New York Giants team. The third-round pick in last April’s NFL Draft had his first multi-touchdown game after scoring just one (either passing or rushing) in each of his last four games.

Running backs

Austin Ekeler, Chargers

Week 10 stats: 42 rushing yards, 5 receptions, 77 Receiving Yards, 2 receiving touchdowns, 1 fumble lost

Ekeler entered Sunday’s game with only 82 yards rushing and 102 more receiving in the San Diego Chargers’ first eight games. He finished with season (and career) highs in both rushing and receiving yards as starting running back Melvin Gordon struggled to get it going against the Jacksonville Jaguars’ defense.

Rex Burkhead, Patriots

Week 10 stats: 36 yards rushing, 3 receptions, 27 receiving yards, 1 receiving touchdown

Burkhead will likely be one of the more-added players this week as he now has 10 catches in his last two games. The 36 yards he ran for on Sunday is his most this season and he hauled in his second receiving touchdown of the year.

Wide receivers

Chester Rogers, Colts

Week 10 stats: 6 receptions, 104 receiving yards, 1 receiving touchdown, 3 rushing yards

Rogers entered the Week 10 tilt against the Pittsburgh Steelers with five catches for 47 yards in four games. He had 19 catches for 273 yards in 14 games as a rookie for the Indianapolis Colts in 2016. His previous career-highs prior to his breakout performance on Sunday were four catches and 72 yards.

His first career NFL score went for 61 yards in the third quarter.

Brandon LaFell, Bengals

Week 10 stats: 6 receptions, 95 receiving yards, 1 receiving touchdown

LaFell was a decent fantasy performer in 2016 as he finished with 64 catches for 862 yards and six touchdowns. Through eight games entering Sunday, he scored just one touchdown and had no more than 44 receiving yards in any of the contests.

Tight end

Jermaine Gresham, Cardinals

Week 10 stats: 5 receptions, 64 receiving yards, 1 receiving touchdown

Gresham scored for the second straight game, but he was more productive for the Arizona Cardinals last Thursday than he’s been all season. In their first seven games, he totaled just 17 receptions for 163 yards.
