The National Football League has kept the sports world on their toes this season. We have witnessed the resurrection of NFL franchises, been introduced to new superstar athletes and have also been entertained during each gridiron matchup. As the playoffs continue to knock on the doors of NFL franchises, the competition increases across the league. Week 11 of the NFL began on Thursday (Nov. 16) and the matchups reflect the annual pre-playoff atmosphere. As the playoff hunt unfolds, here are some games you might want to keep an eye on.

Los Angeles Rams (7-2) vs. Minnesota Vikings (7-2)

When many fans look at the matchup between the Rams and the Vikings on paper, they see two high record teams facing off at the brink of the playoff hunt. Out of the eight divisions in the NFL, six are led by teams with a record with seven wins or better. The matchup between the Rams and Vikings will be a test of the Minnesota Vikings' defense. If the Vikings plan on making it far in the conference playoffs their defense must be able to stop good teams. The New Orleans Saints and the Philadelphia Eagles are both teams who are able to score the football effectively. The Los Angeles Rams are ranked first in points per game as well as in top seven for rushing and passing yard totals.

Jared Goff and the Rams offense plans to show the league that they are the real deal and should be feared in the NFC.

New Orleans Saints (7-2) vs. Washington Redskins (4-5)

This is a game to watch strictly of off the fact that the New Orleans Saints and the Washington Redskins are two teams that have been on the playoff radar.

The rushing offense of New Orleans has been on fire as of late. The Saints hold the third overall rushing spot in the national football league. The rushing combination of Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara have shocked multiple teams in the NFL as they torch teams on the ground week after week. The Washington Redskins must fight to keep up with the Philadelphia Eagles and the Dallas Cowboys If they have any hope of tasting the sweet taste of the NFL playoffs.

Philadelphia Eagles (8-1) vs. Dallas Cowboys (5-4)

The Philadelphia Eagles have been the team to be during this NFL season. Lead by Carson Wentz, the Eagles have flown high using their explosive second-ranked overall offense. Jay Ajayi has provided an extra surge of energy at the running back and has been hard to stop. The Eagles are currently responsible for the fourth-best rushing game in the NFL. The Dallas Cowboys will be without their running back, Ezekiel Elliot, which will make it hard to watch the struggling Dallas offense. Nevertheless, the Cowboys like all other teams must fight to remain alive in the NFL playoff hunt.
