Tennis superstar Andy Murray has been tipped to have a successful comeback by Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov. Murray, 30, is dealing with a hip injury. Three-time Grand Slam Champion Murray hasn't played at an ATP event since Wimbledon. The Scot has been taking care of his damaged hip as he hopes to prolong his career. Murray, who started the year ranked at No. 1 in the world, has dropped to No.

16.

Murray's hip injury could be more serious than it seemed to be. The Scot hobbled and mightily struggled during his Wimbledon quarter-final clash. American Sam Querrey pulled off a surprise to beat Murray and reach the Wimbledon semi-finals. The three-time Grand Slam champion hoped to play again this year after Wimbledon. However, that wasn't the case as the Scot just wasn't ready.

Murray did, though, play an exhibition match earlier this month. Murray clashed against 19-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer at Andy Murray Live. Murray, the host of the Andy Murray Live charity event, made his first public appearance since Wimbledon.

Murray showed some promising signs, but his hip clearly wasn't fully healed. Federer beat the Scot in a three-setter at The SSE Hydro Arena in Glasgow.

Dimitrov has all the confidence in Murray

Murray is targeting to make his official comeback at the Brisbane International. The Brisbane event is due to be held in the first week of the 2018 season. The three-time Grand Slam champion has played twice in Brisbane so far in his career. He has yet to be defeated in Brisbane, having won the titles in 2012 and 2013. The Brisbane International is scheduled to take place 31 December - 7 January.

"If there's one person that can come back, that's him (Murray). That's for sure," Dimitrov said, per Metro UK.

"He's going to prove that his head that is stronger than the hip itself. That's how Andy is. Again, I wish him all the best. I'm sure he's going to recover and we're going to see him pretty soon out there."

Dreaming of a Grand Slam title

Dimitrov, 26, is hoping to win his maiden Grand Slam title next year. The Bulgarian is one of the most promising and talented players of his generation. Yet he has failed to make a splash at Majors and become a Grand Slam champion. Dimitrov has yet to reach a Grand Slam final. He lost in the 2014 Wimbledon and 2017 Australian Open semi-finals to Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal, respectively.

Dimitrov will be entering 2018 motivated and confident. The Bulgarian will be coming off a highly successful 2017 campaign.

Dimitrov won his maiden Masters 1000 and Nitto ATP Finals title this year, as well reached a career-high of No. 3 on this week's rankings list. The Bulgarian beat rising Nick Kyrgios in the Cincinnati Masters final before he beat David Goffin in last week's final of the ATP Finals. It remains to be seen if Dimitrov becomes a Grand Slam champion next year.

"Of course, one of my main goals is to win a tournament, you know, a Grand Slam tournament. This has always been, again, a dream of mine," Dimitrov added, per Metro UK.
