The 2017 World Series comes down to one final game, and in all actuality, it seems very fitting. The Houston Astros will take on the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 7 of the fall classic this evening with the winner being crowned the new champion of baseball. In what has shaped up to be one of the best World Series matchups in a long time, outside of the Cubs vs. Indians battle last year, fans can once again expect the unexpected this evening. Both teams will use every player available on their bench including yesterday's starters if necessary!

Game 7 scheduled starters

Well, this is what the Dodgers paid all the money for! LA has one of the biggest payrolls in all of sports and if they can pull off the win this evening, it will all have been worth it. The Dodgers will send last season acquisition (ironically from the state of Texas), former Rangers star Yu Darvish, to the mound to take on Houston’s Lance McCullers.

Darvish has been a workhorse this season that has pitched much better than his 10-12 record would indicate. So far Darvish is 2-1 in the postseason with an ERA listed at 4.12.

McCullers may not be a household name compared to Justin Verlander or Dallas Keuchel, but the hard-throwing right-hander has plenty of stuff in his arsenal to keep the Astros in the game.

While Darvish and McCullers are the scheduled starters for Game 7, don't be surprised if they make an early exit - even if they are pitching well. This is the last game of the season for each team no matter what the results, so seeing Clayton Kershaw, Dallas Keuchel or even yesterday's starters Justin Verlander or Rich Hill is not out of the question.

How to watch live, Vegas game odds

So who will win this game for the ages? The Dodgers because they are at home? The Astros because their big bats will come to life? Last season the Cleveland Indians hosted Game 7 of the 2016 World Series against the Chicago Cubs and that game was an epic battle!

What fan can forget Rajai Davis’ 8th inning 2 out 2 strikes, and 2-run home runs to tie the game 6-6?

What a great moment in MLB history. Who will create that type of memory this evening? We will soon find out!

Las Vegas oddsmakers have the LA Dodgers listed as the favorites at -160, with the over/under run total listed at 7.5.

Last year the home team lost Game 7 and this year they will not. It is hard to say with certainty who will win Game 7, but the edge has to go to the Dodgers here. It is not a huge edge, but being at home where pitchers have to bat, could be the difference in this winner-take-all Game 7.

Pick: Dodgers
