Carson Wentz threw touchdown passes to four different receivers as the Philadelphia Eagles cruised to a 34-24 win over the Washington Redskins. Wentz completed 17-of-25 passes for 268 yards and an interception and ran eight times for 63 yards as the Eagles notched their fifth straight win for an NFL-best 6-1 mark. With his four-touchdown performance, Wentz now has 17 touchdowns this season, one more than he tallied last season. Zach Ertz caught five passes for 89 yards and a score, Mack Hollins caught a 64-yard touchdown pass, Nelson Agholor caught four passes for 45 yards and a score and Corey Clement caught one pass for a nine-yard touchdown while Jake Elliott made two of three field goals for the Eagles.

Malcolm Jenkins anchored the Eagles with 10 tackles and a sack while Derek Barnett had two sacks and Fletcher Cox accounted for another sack for the Eagles.

Redskins slipped to 3-3

Kirk Cousins completed 30-of-40 passes for 303 yards and three touchdowns with an interception for the Redskins, who dropped to 3-3 and into a second-place tie in the NFC East with the Dallas Cowboys. Cousins played despite the death of his grandmother Sunday night. Jordan Reed caught two of Cousins’ three scoring strikes and finished with 64 yards on eight catches. Veteran Vernon Davis caught four passes for 67 yards and Josh Doctson caught three passes for 39 yards. Chris Thompson caught five passes for 26 yards and a touchdown for the Redskins.

Eagles pull away in second half

Nick Rose put the Redskins on the board with a 27-yard field goal that capped an eight-play, 66-yard attack before Elliott responded with a 50-yard field goal to tie the game. Minutes later, Cousins found Thompson for a seven-yard touchdown after leading a seven-play, 81-yard drive. With 3:01 remaining in the second, Wentz connected with Hollins for a 64-yard touchdown pass to tie the count anew.

After forcing the Redskins to punt with 1:29 remaining, Wentz engineered a six-play, 80-yard drive that he ended with a four-yard scoring strike to Ertz to put the Eagles ahead, 17-10, at the break.

In the third, Wentz connected with Clement for a nine-yard touchdown pass for a 24-10 advantage, but Cousins answered with a five-yard scoring pass to Reed with 44 seconds left in the third. In the fourth, Wentz threw a 10-yard touchdown pass to Agholor while Elliott added a 42-yard boot for a 34-17 lead. Cousins found Reed for a 12-yard touchdown pass for the final tally
