Several teams played on friday night as part of NBA preseason 2017 games. The San Antonio Spurs played against the Sacramento Kings while the Utah Jazz faced off against the Phoenix Sun. Players Danny Green, Willie Cauley Stein, Troy Daniels and Rodney Hood led their respective teams in scoring points. To give you a recap of the games -- below are the details.
Danny Green scored 20 points
The San Antonio Spurs hosted the Sacramento Kings in Friday's preseason game, hoping to win their first.
During the first 12 minutes of the game, the Kings outscored the home squad with a nine-points difference in score, 24-15.
In the second quarter, the Spurs did not allow the Kings to outscore again and finished the 1st half with 51-48 lead. Heading into the third quarter of the game, the Spurs continued to outscore the Kings (79-90) and won the game with a final score of 113-93 for the home squad.
Danny Green led the Spurs in scoring with 20 points in 22 minutes of play time. Danny registered a shooting percentage of 62 from the field, making 8-of-13 field goal shots and 57 percent from the three-point line, making 4-of-7 three-points shots. Patty Mills contributed 15 points, four rebounds, six assists, and one steal.
For the Sacramento Kings, it was Willie Cauley Stein who led the team. He scored 14 points, grabbing nine rebounds with a shooting percentage of 58 from the field.
The remaining four players who contributed double-scoring points to the Kings were Skal Labissiere with 13 points, Buddy Hield with 12 points, De'Aaron Fox with 12 points, and Georgios Papagiannis with 10 points.
11 point lead by the Utah Jazz
The Utah Jazz played against the Phoenix Suns at Vivint Smart Home Arena in Salt Lake City, UT in Friday's preseason game.
The Jazz opened up the game with a 28-point in first 12 minutes of action and held a 28-25 lead after the first quarter of the game against the Phoenix Suns.
They increased their lead in the 2nd quarter with 13 points and led 65-49 at halftime.The Phoenix Suns answered with a 30-points third quarter, but the Jazz was still in front at 84-79.
The Jazz outscored the Suns 28-22 in the last quarter and celebrated a convincing 112-101 victory in this game. The Jazz registered an average shooting percentage of 41.2 from the field in this winning game.
Rodney Hood and Alec Burks led the Jazz on Friday night with a tie score of 19 points. While Rodney earned the score in 24 minutes of playing time, Alex earned the same score just within 19 minutes of action off the bench.
Meanwhile, on the opponent's side, Troy Daniels and Alex Len led the Suns in scoring. Both of them score 18 points for the team.
