The Memphis Grizzlies faced off against Philadelphia 76ers last night as reported by NBA.com. Ben Simmons played his first preseason game along with Markelle Fultz. Simmons looked pretty good last night at the point guard position, and he showed just how good he could pass the ball. But the Memphis Grizzlies was still too much for the Sixers as they were able to destroy the Sixers by 21 points. Marc Gasol and Mike Conley did not play, but Brandan Wright stepped up and led the Grizzlies in scoring.

Ben Simmons shows off passing skills

Ben Simmons played his first NBA game last night and showed how explosive and comfortable he is at the point guard position.

Simmons passed the ball very well in last night's loss to the Memphis Grizzlies, and he looked really good running the floor and being aggressive in the paint. He contributed six points, seven rebounds, one block, and nine rebounds. He shot very poorly though making only two of his eight shots from the field. Simmons still looked very good overall in his debut game, and the Sixers fans are truly going to be excited next season with how good Simmons can past the ball.

Jahlil Okafor plays solid game

Despite rumors of him being shopped by the Philadelphia 76ers, Jahlil Okafor still played a great game against the Memphis Grizzlies last night. He contributed 13 points, six rebounds, and two steals.

He shot an amazing 83.3 percent from the field making five of his six field goal attempts. If Jahlil Okafor can continue to play consistently, the Sixers may just think twice about moving him this season.

Brandan Wright carries Grizzlies over the Sixers

With Marc Gasol and Mike Conley not playing, Brandan Wright stepped up and led the team in offense.

He contributed a 16 points (team high), eight rebounds (team high), one assist, one steal, and one block. He also made seven of his 11 shot attempts giving him a shooting percentage of 63.6 percent. If Wright can play consistently at the level, he played last night against the Sixers he may earn some huge minutes next season for the Memphis Grizzlies.

Parsons struggles continues

Chandler Parsons has been hampered by injuries ever since he got signed by the Memphis Grizzlies last year. But coming into the preseason games, Parsons said that he feels much better than last year. Last night, Parsons struggled against the Sixers contributing only five points, three rebounds, two assists, and two blocks. He only shot 33.3 percent from the field making only two of his shots. It is still the preseason, and the Memphis fans can only hope that Parsons can turn things around once the season begins.
