The Golden State Warriors were in action on Saturday night as they visited Mike Conley and the Memphis Grizzlies. The home team was able to take control from the start and ended up grabbing a 10-point win thanks to a huge night from big man Marc Gasol. Here's a look at how the Warriors vs. Grizzlies game played out with Memphis coming away with their second win of the NBA season.

Memphis would open with a 31-26 outscoring of the visitors in the first quarter and finished ahead 56-51 at halftime. In the third quarter, it was more from Memphis as they went on a 32-20 scoring pace.
Golden State tried to come back in the fourth quarter and outscored the home team 30-23 but it wasn't enough. The Grizzlies outlasted them with a 111-101 victory.
Leading the way for the Memphis Grizzlies was center Marc Gasol. He shot 8-for-16 from the floor and hit 16-of-17 free throws for 34 points. He also collected 14 rebounds on the night. Mike Conley shot just 3-for-14 and had 10 points to go with seven assists. James Ennis III had 13 points, while Tyreke Evans came off the bench to add 12 points, seven rebounds, and two assists.
For the Golden State Warriors, Stephen Curry also had a big performance as he shot 9-for-17 and hit all 13 of his free throws to finish with 37 points. Kevin Durant was 11-for-24 from the floor and had 29 points along with 13 rebounds.
Klay Thompson chipped in 14 while Draymond Green had three points, seven rebounds, and six assists.
In tonight's game, the home team was hot for their shooting with a 46.8 percent overall rate and a 37 percent rate for knocking down their threes. The visitors were 39.3 percent overall and 31.6 percent from downtown. While Golden State won the overall rebounding battle 46-40 they also had 17 turnovers compared to 14 for the Memphis Grizzlies.
Standings and what's next
The Golden State Warriors find themselves with a losing record after their first three games at 1-2 overall and 1-1 on the road. They lost their season opener to the Houston Rockets by a point at home and then bounced back by defeating the New Orleans Pelicans on the road. On Monday night the Warriors try to even things out when they visit the Dallas Mavericks at 8:30 p.m.

For the Memphis Grizzlies, it's a great start to their latest season. They're now 2-0 overall with both wins at home so far. They'll have their first road game on Monday night starting at 8 p.m. ET against the Houston Rockets.
