The Cleveland Cavaliers have had a lackluster start to their NBA regular season. In their first seven games of the season, they were beaten four times. The Orlando Magic, Brooklyn Nets, New Orleans Pelicans, and the New York Knicks are among the teams that have defeated the eastern giants this season. What is troubling is that the Cavaliers are actually losing to rebuilding teams and they are getting blown out; their only loss they had a less than a five-point deficit was against Brooklyn.

James says he's not worried

Joe Vardon of Cleveland Plain Dealer has reported that LeBron James is not worried at all about their lackluster start of the season.

He thinks that it is way too early in the season to make assumptions or even to be worried. LeBron added that in their first seven games they had crazy lineups that they did not even play with during practice. This indicates that the Cavaliers still have a lot of room to grow as they move further into this season.

Losing two point guards has hurt the Cavaliers

James also added that one of the main reasons they are having a hard time winning games is because they are missing two great point guards. Derrick Rose recently had his ankle sprained, and this led to him missing four of their first seven games. Rose was actually very good this season until he sprained his ankle. He has averaged 13 points, three rebounds, 1.5 assists, and one steal in 27 Minutes Per Game.

He has been shooting 44.4% from the field and 33.3% from beyond the arc. Losing their former MVP has affected their losing streak, but even with the return of Rose on Sunday against the New York Knicks the Cavaliers still were not able to find a win.

Isaiah Thomas is also one player who has yet to play for the Cleveland Cavaliers this season.

Thomas was brought in last month in that blockbuster trade that sent Kyrie Irving to the Boston Celtics. Thomas was one of the best point guards last season in the NBA, and there is no doubt that once he comes back, the Cavaliers are going to be a different team. Thomas is expected to recover from his hip injury by next year fully.

LeBron James knows this will be a long process

James closed out the interview by saying that he understands that the NBA regular season is a long process and that is why he is not worried. LeBron James has been amazing despite the Cavaliers struggling to get wins. He has averaged 26 points, 6.7 rebounds, 8.8 assists, 1.3 blocks, and 0.8 assists in 36 minutes per game. He is shooting an amazing 60.4% from the field and 43.5% from beyond the arc.
