In the first game of the WNBA Finals, the Los Angeles Sparks managed to come away with the slimmest of victories to go up 1-0 in the best-of-five game series. Now with Game 2, the Minnesota Lynx will try to tie the series up and avoid going down 2-0. Will Maya Moore, Sylvia Fowles, and the Lynx be able to respond? Here's the WNBA Finals Game 2 preview featuring odds, game time, channel, and how to watch the Sparks vs. Lynx live streaming online.
Game 2 preview
The stage has been set for a stellar 2017 WNBA Finals after a frantic finish to Game 1.
L.A. took the first game in this series 85-84 after each team had huge quarters where they outscored their opponent by 11 to 21 points. The home team surged back in the final quarter at Williams Arena and the two teams traded leads late. However, Chelsea Gray's jumper was the difference maker as the Sparks held off the Lynx for an important series-opening win.
While the Minnesota Lynx lost the first game, there were plenty of bright spots including their ability to come back from down 21 points at the end of the first quarter. In addition, WNBA MVP Sylvia Fowles notched a double-double of 22 points and 13 boards as well as three blocked shots. Maya Moore led her team with 27 points on 10-for-16 shooting and as a squad, the Lynx shot 50 percent.
They also barely edged the visitors in rebounding.
After the Game 1 loss, Minnesota is now a six-point favorite to win Game 2 at home. On the money line, the Lynx are -270 or -275 while the Sparks are +225 or +230 at various sportsbooks. The over/under points total is 159.5 points for the game at Bovada sportsbook. Los Angeles is now 3-1 against the Lynx through the regular season and the first game of the WNBA Finals.
