On Wednesday night, the team with the best record in the league looks to extend that record after snapping a miserable 11-game losing streak. The Los Angeles Dodgers visit the San Francisco Giants as part of their ongoing series. With one team having already clinched, they're now looking towards the division crown. Here's the latest Dodgers vs. Giants game preview with matchup odds, pitchers, start time, TV channel and live stream feed options.

MLB game preview

The Los Angeles Dodgers (93-52) continue to own the best overall record in the MLB but are clinging to that.

With the Cleveland Indians (90-56) surging lately, and the Dodgers recently snapping an 11-game losing skid, the two teams are close in terms of record. The Washington Nationals (88-56) are also within striking distance of LA's record. The Dodgers are 1-9 over their past 10 games, thanks to their recent 5-3 win over San Francisco. They'll try to make it two straight when they send Yu Darvish (8-12, 4.25 ERA) to the mound for tonight's contest.

To snap their recent losing streak, L.A. had Clayton Kershaw on the mound and a four-run fourth inning to win 5-3 over San Francisco. Kershaw struck out six batters over six innings, allowing eight hits and two runs to the opposition. Chase Utley homered for the L.A. Dodgers, while Yasiel Puig was 2-for-5 with two RBIs in the win.

On the opposing side, the San Francisco Giants are nowhere near the playoff picture. At 57-90, the team won't be participating in the postseason, but is still playing for the wins for pride's sake. The Giants are sitting at the bottom of the National League West right now and have gone 4-6 over their last 10 games. They'll have Matt Moore making the start tonight.

Moore has gone 5-13 this season with a 5.31 ERA.

The Odds Shark website lists the Dodgers as -205 or higher as moneyline favorites for tonight's matchup. The home team are +190 underdogs at several sports books. Tonight's over/under runs total is at 8.5 runs for the complete game.
