On Monday it was reported that there are two recent injuries that will sideline members of the WWE "Raw" roster. Both of those superstars were scheduled to compete at the WWE "SummerSlam 2017" pay-per-view. One was about to compete for a major championship. The other appeared to be about ready to get a decent feud as part of a tag team on the main roster. Here are the latest details on the injuries reported for WWE women's star Bayley and tag team member Scott Dawson of The Revival.

Scott Dawson hurt

As Pro Wrestling Sheet reported earlier on Monday, The Revival's Scott Dawson was hurt during a live WWE event.

The WWE posted an exclusive video on their YouTube channel to update fans on the injury, saying he had a ruptured bicep that will put him out for "an undetermined amount of time."

Back in April, Dawson's tag partner Dash Wilder of The Revival suffered a fractured jaw during a NXT event. The team had just started to move toward an ongoing feud with The Hardy Boyz so this adds yet another setback for the newest tag team to join the main roster from NXT.

The other unfortunate news is that the injury looks like it will probably hinder The Revival vs. Hardy Boyz match that had been scheduled for "SummerSlam." One has to wonder if WWE will scramble to book another tag team for the match against Matt and Jeff due to their popularity.

Bayley out of 'SummerSlam'

It was also recently learned that WWE women's superstar Bayley has a separated shoulder injury. It was officially reported that Bayley will miss WWE's "SummerSlam 2017" pay-per-view because of that. She was originally booked to face Alexa Bliss for the WWE "Raw" Women's Championship as the No. 1 contender, but now plans will change.

As WWE.com indicated in their report earlier on Monday, to find a new challenger for Bliss at "SummerSlam," there will be two different women's triple threat matches featured on WWE "Raw." The winners of the two matches will fight on next week's "Raw" to determine who goes on to "SummerSlam" to take on Alexa Bliss for the title.

The WWE hasn't revealed details of who will participate in these two matches. As of right now, one has to think the favorites to emerge as winners tonight will be Sasha Banks and Nia Jax, depending on the matchups. Other women's stars who could be featured in these matches would be Emma, Dana Brooke, Alicia Fox, and Summer Rae, as they are all active on the roster.

Still, could WWE have a surprise in store? A few women's stars also showing on the website's "Raw" roster are Paige and Maryse. Will either of these two women's superstars end up as part of the match?

If Paige returned tonight it would be a major surprise, and fans would go wild.

Nonetheless, WWE fans are certainly hoping for a speedy recovery by both women's star Bayley and tag team star Scott Dawson after their unfortunate recent injuries.
