There are just two games on Saturday night's WNBA schedule, but both of them carry implications for the 2017 WNBA Playoffs. In the later of the two games, the Washington Mystics host the Dallas Wings. As of this report, Washington has already clinched a spot in the postseason, while Dallas is still trying to and is clinging to the No. 8 spot in the standings. Here's the latest WNBA game preview including the odds to win, over/under total, game time, TV channels and live streaming options.
WNBA game preview
Heading into tonight's matchup, the Dallas Wings have gone 2-3 over their last five games.
They still hold a 14-17 record overall which has them tied with the Seattle Storm. Dallas would receive the eighth and final playoff spot if the regular season ended today, but there are several teams just below them fighting for that spot. Among them are the Chicago Sky, and Atlanta Dream. The Wings are coming off a 93-87 loss at Connecticut on Thursday evening.
The Washington Mystics (17-13) are also coming off a loss as they fell 74-66 at New York but saw their All-Star Elena Delle Donne back for that game. The Liberty were able to take over the No. 4 spot in the standings with the win, but the Mystics could still get it back. Right now they are 1.5 games below New York for the spot, with three games left for the Liberty and four left for the Mystics including tonight's home matchup with the Wings.
On tonight's point spread, Odds Shark lists the Mystics as favorites of 4.5-points at home. On the moneyline, Washington is at -200 while the visiting Wings are +175. The over/under points total is 173 points for the complete game. Washington is 7-3 in their last 10 meetings with Dallas and 6-3-1 against the spread, with the over hitting six of the 10 times.
