As of this report, the Liberty are in the playoffs and holding onto the No. 4 spot overall, while the Sky are still fighting for a spot. WNBA game preview

The Chicago Sky carry a record of 12-18 overall and 8-7 on the road for today's game. Most recently, they defeated the Connecticut Sun by 13 points.

The team is right on the cusp of cracking into the top eight overall teams in order to qualify for this year's postseason. Right above them in the No. 7 and No. 8 spots are Dallas (15-17) and Seattle (14-17). A loss by either team tonight could give Chicago more hope towards making the postseason, but they'll need a win of their own and it won't be easy.

The New York Liberty have looked relatively strong lately, as the team is 19-12 overall and 11-4 on their home court at Madison Square Garden. New York also owns the league's hottest winning streak, having won their last seven games in a row. That includes defeating the team just below them in the playoff standings, the Washington Mystics. New York won that game on the road 74-66, despite the return of Mystics' All-Star Elena Delle Donne.
