After a close loss to the Connecticut Sun recently, the Phoenix Mercury try to bounce back in their next road game. Diana Taurasi and the Mercury visit the Washington Mystics on Sunday. Washington is also looking to bounce back from their recent loss so they can keep up with Connecticut atop the Eastern Conference standings. Here's the latest WNBA game preview including matchup odds, TV channels, game time, and how to watch the Mercury vs. Mystics live streaming online.
WNBA game preview
In the latest WNBA standings, the Phoenix Mercury are the No.
5 overall team with a record of 13-11. They've lost their last game, a 93-92 defeat at the Connecticut Sun. Diana Taurasi went off in that game, scoring a game-high 33 points on 12-for-18 shooting. However, she only had two other teammates in double-digits in her return to Connecticut. That dropped the Mercury to 6-5 when playing on the road this season.
At 14-10 overall, the Washington Mystics are the fourth-best team in the WNBA. They lost some ground in the Eastern Conference standings lead with Connecticut now taking over the top spot due to the Mystics' loss. The team is 5-5 over their last ten games including the recent loss to the Stars in San Antonio, 76-74. Elena Delle Donne was out for the game due to her left thumb injury, but Kristi Toliver scored 18 points and dished out six assists in the losing effort.
Now both teams will try for the bounce back win on Sunday.
The point spread for Sunday afternoon's game has the Mystics as three or 3.5-point home favorites on the spread. For the money line, the Mystics are priced at -170 with the visiting Mercury as +145 to +150 favorites. Sunday's over/under points total is at 157 points for the complete game.
