Saul Niguez has put an end to speculations over his future by signing a new nine-year deal with Spanish giants Atletico Madrid. Elsewhere, EPL side Everton FC have reportedly moved ahead of Sevilla CF in the race to sign Sampdoria striker Luis Muriel. In France, OGC Nice left back Dalbert wants to leave the club amid interest from Inter Milan and Arsenal. Here's a complete report of the latest transfer updates Making The Rounds:
Niguez commits future to Atletico Madrid
Saul Niguez is widely regarded as one of the best young prospects on the planet.
The 22-year-old midfielder has been a regular for Atletico Madrid over the past three years and has enhanced his “reputation” this summer with some stunning performances for Spain U-21s at the Euro 2017 tournament. The Spaniard's impressive form has seen him apparently catch the attentions of other top European club sides, including Manchester United and Barcelona. But the 22-year-old midfielder insisted earlier last week that he had no plan of leaving Atletico Madrid this summer, and he is now tied to the Spanish outfit until summer 2026, according to ESPN FC.
Everton topples Sevilla for Muriel's signature
Luis Muriel is expected to leave Sampdoria this summer window, with Spanish giants Sevilla CF thought to be at the front of the “queue” for the 26-year-old signature.
It is suggested that Luis Muriel is excited by a possible move to Spain this summer, but it appears EPL side Everton FC have made a “last ditch” attempt to lure the 26-year-old striker to England. According to IB Times, Everton has been in close contact with the player and his agent and have reportedly offered the Colombia international a higher pay than Sevilla CF's initial offer.
The Toffees last gasp move has apparently forced the Colombian to reevaluate his options ahead of a possible summer transfer.
The EPL club are also prepared to pay the Muriel's $31.6m buy-out clause over a three year period if he does agree to snub a move to Sevilla.
Inter and Arsenal lead chase for Dalbert
Dalbert enjoyed an impressive debut campaign in France last term after arriving from Portuguese side Vitoria de Guimaraes last year summer.
Top club sides around Europe have taken notice of Dalbert's brilliant performances and there are claims Inter Milan and Arsenal will make their moves this summer window, according to the Sun. Both clubs are said to have scouted the Brazilian over the past twelve months and they have been impressed by what they have seen. The 23-year-old defender believes a season at a top-notch club side, such as Inter Milan or Arsenal will apparently give him the best opportunity to nail down a spot in Brazil's set-up for next year's FIFA World Cup in Russia.
