In the latest Cincinnati Bengals' NFL rumors and news, Adam "Pacman" Jones is making headlines but for the wrong reasons. The longtime cornerback has received a suspension from the league due to violating one of the NFL's policies.

Here's the latest on Jones' suspension and what fans can expect from the Bengals this coming NFL season.

What's the deal?

According to ESPN staff writer Katherine Terrell, Adam Jones has received a one-game suspension from the NFL due to violating the league's personal conduct policy. The suspension is a result of Jones' arrest for pushing a security officer, poking him in the eye and then refusing to cooperate with law enforcement.

The incident occurred this past January at a downtown Cincinnati hotel.

Jones carried out serving his time for part of the crime back in May. The cornerback spent two days in jail, after pleading guilty to an obstruction charge. After watching a video of Jones' interactions with law enforcement when he was originally transported to jail and booked after the hotel incident, the NFL said they felt his actions "reflected poorly on him, his family, the Bengals and the NFL."

As mentioned by ESPN, the suspension will be carried out for the Bengals' 2017 season opening game. That game is scheduled for September 10th at 1 p.m. Eastern Time when Cincinnati hosts division rivals, the Baltimore Ravens.

Bengals' 2017 NFL outlook

The Bengals mentioned in their statement about Jones' suspension that they're mostly focused on the season ahead. They added that Jones is going to participate in training camp and they are hoping for his help in the regular season after his suspension is served.

The Bengals open up their training camp for their rookies on this coming Tuesday, while veterans report as of Thursday, July 27th.

The team's first pre-season game arrives on Friday, August 11th when they take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers starting at 7:30 p.m. Eastern Time.

As of this report, the Cincinnati Bengals are one-point favorites to defeat the Ravens in their regular season opening game against the Ravens. The over/under points total is 43 or 43.5 points at various books.

However, there's at least a month and a half until that game arrives.

In terms of winning the Super Bowl, the Bengals are considered long shots as they're down past the middle of Vegas Insider's future odds list. Currently, Cincinnati has a 66 to 1 shot at winning it all this season, which has them tied with the Jacksonville Jaguars and Miami Dolphins.
