Less than 80 days before the college football season starts, things are starting to really heat up for the Nebraska football team and their recruiting efforts. This Sunday, wide receiver Joshua Moore is going to be announcing his choice for colleges. While most believe he will indeed be choosing the Huskers, there are some who think that announcement could bring more drama than Cornhusker fans would like.
Now it appears another Nebraska prospect could be choosing his school in the very near future. Wide receiver Nikko Remigio tweeted out on Wednesday night that he appears close to a decision.
The four-star recruit out of California actually didn't tease that much. He straight up said, "commitment coming soon" with the thoughtful emoji in tow. As of yet, it doesn't appear he's willing to say who he is leaning towards, though it appears there are people who believe they know where he might go.
The West Coast has quite the pull for Nebraska recruit
When looking at the schools that are hard after Remigio there is a definite pattern. It looks as though the West Coast is his favorite, even if he has been listening to overtures from the likes of Nebraska. 247Sports has made one big prediction for the wide receiver recruit, saying the California Golden Bears are the team to beat. Even if Remigio does pick cal, it looks as though the Huskers are still going to have to beat out other Pac 12 schools like Arizona State, Arizona and Colorado.
Commitment coming soon...🤔

Nebraska has plenty of compeition in its own conference as well. Illinois and Wisconsin have both been hard after the receiver. Remigio will be getting plenty of excitement no matter where he decides to pick, considering he's considered the 50th best receiver in the entire 2018 class.
He's also the 36th best player in the state of California.
Nebraska might not need Remigio
With California being the team to beat, it looks like Nebraska might be a bit of a long shot. The good news is that if Moore does indeed pick the Huskers, it would not be that big a loss in the long run. Remigio is one of those players who the Huskers would like to get, but with the talent in their 2018 class, he's not a must get.
Nebraska has done a pretty good job of stocking up on receivers in this class but it has lost one or two as well. It couldn't hurt to get Remigio into the fold just in case something goes haywire with Moore. It's been stated by more than one expert that even if Moore picks the Huskers on Sunday, the recruiting for that player isn't going to be over until signing day.
