Dustin Johnson and his fiancée Paulina Gretzky welcomed their second son on June 12, three days before the start of the 2017 U.S. Open. The new bundle of joy was named River Jones Johnson. His middle name is the middle name of Paulina’s mom, Janet Gretzky.
Dustin Johnson is now a father to two boys
The professional golfer said earlier that he would not be participating in the golf event if his son did not arrive before the start of the U.S. Open 2017 -- according to Us Weekly. After his fiancée and his son were taken home from the hospital, both well and healthy, he flew to Wisconsin in time for the tournament.
On Wednesday, he happily announced the name of his son at a press conference.
Paulina Gretzky announced her pregnancy in February in an Instagram post showing her baby bump while she was holding an ultrasound photo of her son. Golf reported that she was wearing a fitted sweater captioned “Coming Soon," the same way she announced her pregnancy with her first son Tatum Johnson, who was born on January 19, 2015. In the post from September 24, 2014, she held her baby bump.
Johnson, 32, and the American model met when he was introduced by Janet Jones Gretzky -- her mother. In an interview with Golf Digest in 2014, Paulina, 28, said that her mom brought Dustin home for dinner and they were formally introduced.
She found him to be a total gentleman and endearing. They exchanged numbers and now they are the parents of two healthy boys. During their months of dating, the couple were often photographed spending time on vacation.
After the announcement of their relationship, they became golf’s most photographed couple. They were seen engaging in PDA even during his crucial matches.
Most of the time, they wear identical shirts. They got engaged in 2013 after seven months of dating. The couple are enjoying family life despite Johnson's hectic life as a professional golfer.

Johnson is currently playing on the PGA Tour and is holding the World Number 1 ranking. He reached the top when he won the 2017 Genesis Open.
His rise in the game has been steady since he officially turned pro way back in 2007. Dustin Johnson won several awards in 2016 alone. He won the PGA Player of the Year award, the Harry Vardon trophy, and he was also the top earner in terms of cash prizes as well. Johnson is on top of the golf world, and he has a growing family to boot. It will be interesting to see how the new father performs at the tournament.
