The main event features two former UFC light heavyweight title contenders, Alexander Gustafsson (17-4) taking on Glover Teixeira (26-5). Both fighters once challenged former champion Jon Jones for the title.
Road to the title
Gustafsson lost the fight to Jones in 2013 via unanimous decision and is considered to be one of the best fights in the history of the UFC's light heavyweight division.
A native of Stockholm, Gustafsson is the favored fighter in the matchup.
Teixeira also lost a unanimous decision in his fight with Jones in 2014 and is coming into today's fight with a win over Jared Cannonier in February. The winner of this fight will move one step closer to earning a second title shot. Gustafsson is currently ranked number one in the UFC's light heavyweight division, while Teixeira claims the number two spot. Champion Daniel Cormier will defend his title against Jones at UFC 214 in July.
