On Wednesday night, the Boston Celtics were able to regain a 3-2 advantage in their best-of-seven series against the Washington Wizards. Boston won Game 5 by a final of 123-101 behind a big game from Avery Bradley. Now the Celtics are just one win away from a matchup against LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers. Here's a look at how they got the big win on Wednesday evening in this game after losing big to the Wizards in Game 4.

How the Celtics won

Tonight's big win in "Beantown" was propelled by Avery Bradley who scored a playoff career-high.

Bradley finished his night with 29 points on 12-for-19 shooting which included making 4-of-7 three-pointers. Bradley also had six rebounds and three assists to go with that.

Team leader Isaiah Thomas added 18 points today along with nine assists. Al Horford also added 19 points, seven assists, and six rebounds. Jae Crowder contributed 18 points to go with eight rebounds and two assists in an excellent all-around effort from the Boston starters.

Boston dominated tonight's game from the start, opening with a 33-21 lead after the first quarter. From there, they kept on with the control of things, leading 67-51 at the half. The wizards could never quite find a way to get any run to get back into tonight's game on the road.

As a team, Boston shot a red hot 52.9 percent from the field including 16-for-33 for three-point shooting. Washington shot just 38.5 percent and only could make 7-of-29 attempted three-point shots. The Wizards had eight more free throw attempts than the home team, but still, they just couldn't match the Celtics' firepower tonight.

John Wall led all Wizards' players with 21 points on 7-for-17 shooting. Bradley Beal added just 16 points, while Otto Porter Jr. had 13 points. Kelly Oubre Jr. returned from his one-game suspension to score 13 points off the bench on 5-for-19 shooting.
