The Icc Champions Trophy starts tomorrow, 1 June, with the hosts England taking on Bangladesh, who last made their appearance in the tournament in 2006. England is quite strong at the moment, especially when it comes to their batting attack. They recently defeated South Africa, the first ranked ODI team, 2-1 in a three-match series, however, in the third ODI, South Africa was able to break through England's attack, resulting in England being 21-6 at one point and being bowled out for 153. Despite all of this, England is still the favorites to win credited to Eoin Morgan's captaincy, England's batting attack, and use of right arm pacers.

Bangladesh comes into this with also an embarrassing batting collapse, being bowled out for 84 in the warm-up match versus India. However, with that being said, Bangladesh have had a great ODI record recently, coming second in the Ireland Tri-Series, and putting themselves in the sixth position in ICC ODI rankings. England is well aware of the threat the Bangladesh team can provide, and it'll be interesting to see who becomes victorious in the ending. Bangladesh is quite reliant on their fast bowling attack with the swing of Mortaza, the left arm angle of Mustafizur Rahman, and the pure pace of Rubel Hossain likely to cause England problems. Although England won an ODI series in Bangladesh last year 1-2, Bangladesh has repeatedly upset England beating them by 2 wickets in the 2011 World Cup and knocking them out in the group stages of the 2015 World Cup.

The Playing Conditions

According to CricBuzz, The match will be held at London's The Oval which presents a flat surface and a quick outfield, excellent for batting. However, in the recent Royal London One-Day Cup, no teams were able to hit 300, and the average Run Rate was 5.24. With that being said, however, the weather is set to be fine and a high scoring game should be the outcome.

England Team News

Three of England's usual starters, Chris Woakes, Ben Stokes and Moeen Ali were unfit to play versus South Africa on Monday. With chances of them not being able to play, Middlesex bowler Toby Roland-Jones, David Willey, and Adil Rashid will have to step up and take the line, but England Captain Eoin Morgan reassures that the three should be able to start versus Bangladesh tomorrow. Another concern for the hosts in Jason Roy's lack of runs in the opening order. If Bangladesh's fast bowlers are able to take early wickets, England may find themselves struggling.

Bangladesh Team News

Along with their fast bowling threat, Bangladesh will look to rely on spinners Shakib Al-Hasan and Mehedi Hasan during the middle overs.

There aren't any injury news regarding Bangladesh's Champions Trophy squad, but Bangladesh is going to need a good opening batting partnership if they want to make a good total. For that, they will rely on Tamim Iqbal and Soumya Sarkar, who usually perform good, but if their wickets fall early, England can find the game in their hands.

The match is set to start at 10:30 GMT and will be broadcasted on Sky Sports in the UK.
