It looks like Paige is making her return on WWE programming pretty soon. The controversial wrestling diva recently posted a tweet, suggesting that she could be on her way back to wrestling once she gets medically cleared by her doctors.
Paige had a visit with her doctor on Monday to evaluate her progress from surgery last October. According to reports on Wrestling Inc, WWE is targeting a summer return for once a two-time WWE Divas champion.
Is future still bright for Paige?
The anti-diva superstar has been inactive from wrestling competition for almost 10 months now after undergoing surgery to repair a herniated disc in her neck.
WWE also suspended Paige for a total of 90 days as punishment for violating the company’s wellness policy twice.
Saraya-Jade Belvis, Paige’s real name, had a promising start to her WWE career after winning the WWE Divas championship against AJ Lee in her main-roster debut in 2014. The victory put Paige in history books as the first ever women’s wrestler to hold the NXT and Divas Champion, and the youngest champion in title’s history at 21.
Unfortunately, things didn’t go well for her in the next couple of years, especially with the arrival of NXT stars Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch on Monday Night Raw. After a short-lived feud with then RAW women’s champion Charlotte, Paige disappeared in the succeeding weeks until WWE confirmed her injury and suspension.
Many wrestling fans and pundits shared a general feeling that Paige’s career started to go down spiral as soon as she gets herself associated with ex-WWE wrestler Alberto del Rio. Paige’s relationship with Alberto el Patron/ Del Rio reportedly created unnecessary heat backstage to the point that WWE executives attempted to separate the two.
Paige’s stock reached rock-bottom last month when her private photos and videos were leaked online. Most of the files illicitly uploaded in the internet contained adult-oriented materials featuring other wrestlers such as Brad Maddux and Xavier Woods.

Kofi Kingston is expected to miss several weeks after suffering an ankle injury that requires surgery.
Kingston, a member of the longest reigning tag-team in WWE’s history, hurt his ankle during the Revival’s assault on the New Day one night after they host Wrestlemania 33 in Orlando, Florida. It’s still unknown, if Kingston’s injury was part of the storyline or he really suffered it during the wrestling match.
